The Liverpool FC midfielder could earn £10.6m a season at La Liga giants Barcelona, according to reports
Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho
Philippe Coutinho has agreed a mega contract with Barcelona but the La Liga leaders haven’t agreed a deal with Liverpool FC, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Sport, as reported by the Daily Express, is reporting that Coutinho has reached an agreement with the Spanish side worth around £200,000 a week.
The same article states that Barcelona are ready to pay £130m for the 25-year-old attacking midfielder having been left disappointed in the summer.
Coutinho has been in excellent form in the 2017-18 season following an impressive return of 10 goals and seven assists in 13 starts in the Premier League.
According to the same report, Coutinho’s representatives have already secured a £10.6m-a-season contract that will last until 2023.
The Liverpool FC number 10 will secure a huge pay boost should the reports come to fruition given his current contract worth around worth around £8m a year that is set to run until 2022.
The Merseyside outfit signed Coutinho in a £8.5m deal from Serie A giants Inter Milan in the 2013 January transfer window.
Coutinho scored 13 times and made seven assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League last term to secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.
The Liverpool FC midfielder hasn’t won any silverware during his spell at Anfield.
