President Muhammadu Buhari has been called out on social media for wearing socks with his native attire.
A Facebook user posted a warning to who ever styles the President to make sure this fashion blunder ends with 2017. The poster atted:
“We don’t need such embarrassing combination in 2018.”
My Dad wears socks with his native attire. When I asked him, he said the leather of the footwear gives him skin irritation whenever it rubs against his bare flesh.
We shouldn’t be quick to judge or conclude on people’s style preferences. Clearly the President was on a visit to a foreign country which we all know is extremely cold this time of the year. Judging from his age and his numerous health failures, it’s wiser to keep him warm and healthy than cold and sick because he wants to respect a fashion rule.
I feel that there’s really no hard and fast rule to style these days. but some argue that men who cannot do without wearing socks with their natives should at least wear invisible socks.
