Messi is football. Well i may have exaggerated a little but this guy is of extreme beauty. What he does and what he did in his football career is amazing and he still has many years ahead of him. Messi is one of the most important player in the history of football , he took the game to another level with his consistency, his skills and of course his vision. Without forgetting that he has a lot of important records on his name. So how important is Leo to football ? A lot. You will definitely be important if your the GOAT.

Although I can write a book about that but rather I would speak some points which clearly signifies that how much importance is Messi for football
first of all I want to point out the rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi you know what surprise me that if there was no Leo Messi ,there wouldn't be a Cristiano Ronaldo on a level where you see him right now it is the rivalry which makes them so good . So the one thing which Leo Messi does is make other players look good also.
second thing which I have to point out about Messi is his nature is so down to earth , a club like Barcelona whose main slogan is (mes cue en club) which means (more than a club) and Messi for Barcelona is something very very special . Messi does the magic Every Night in the camp now he is the magician who carry the weight of millions of expectations every evening he enters the stadium trust me it is very difficult to carry on people's expectation weight on you every time you enter the field and the Maestro does tht so consistantly.
third and the last thing which I really liked about Messi or which signifies the importance of Messi to football is the way he carries himself and talk to other people or youngsters and his love for Argentina I mean we can clearly see how much importance he gives to his National side in the last match when he scored a tremendous hat trick in the world cup qualifiers believe it or not Messi does not owe anything to football it's the football who knows everything to Leo Messi

Lionel Messi, to football, will mean nothing.
Let me explain.
By football you mean FIFA.
By FIFA you mean the federation.
Think about what happens when Lionel Messi retires:
He will be probably the best player to grace a Barca kit. Millions and millions will cry as Lionel Messi plays his last game of professional football.
He rides off into the sunset, sipping Pina Coladas on a beach with Cristiano Ronaldo.
His legacy is remembered forever, but eventually, he will stop drawing people to the game.
And that's when he becomes useless for FIFA.
FIFA will be fine: they'll find an heir to Messi and Ronaldo’s throne.
But Lionel Messi, in the long run, is almost useless to FIFA.
