Iniesta and Lineker react to Messi's disallowed goal

Lionel Messi’s goal was wrongly disallowed against Valencia,  his shot from outside the box was parried by Neto into the net, but the linesman incredibly deemed the ball had not crossed the line and play continued.

Here are some reactions to Messi's goal that was wrongly disallowed by the officiating officials in the La Liga on Sunday against Valencia.

ANDREAS INIESTA

The Barcelona Captain speaks on the controversial goal, Iniesta  added: “It was as clear as it could, even the goalkeeper’s gesture said it all.”

“In those specific moves the technology would be ideal, and there is no doubt about whether it went in or not.”

 “Those who have to implement it will keep taking note,” he continued.

“It’s very clear that there is no possible interpretation.”

GARY LINEKER

Lineker is a retired footballer and former Barcelona forward, He holds England’s record for goals in FIFA World Cup finals with 10 goals.

The Match of the Day host was far from impressed by the horrendous decision by the linesman.

In the Premier League, the officials are not needed to make this type of call due to the successful implementation of goal-line technology.
